Safety and Set Up

Set Up Tips and Requirements

We try to be flexible and weather permitting we prefer outdoor parties.

When summer  temperatures soar, it is very important that you provide shade for the animals.

Natural shade is best, but a canopy or patio  will suffice.

An indoor location must be provided if it is 85 degrees or above.

Parents please remember that small children AND reptiles can easily overheat

Keep your party headcount manageable. Twenty five children or less is acceptable.

Close in parking is appreciated.

Please no steps or stairs.

Cameras and video taping is encouraged!

Remember to clear space on your camera, or have plenty of film on hand and charge those batteries.

Good Clean Fun With Cold Blooded Animals

When children are interacting with animals it is best to avoid eating and drinking until the children have washed their hands or used antibacterial wipes or hand gel. Parents can set up a hand washing station with a plastic basin filled with water, antibacterial soap, and paper or cloth towels for drying. Children should apply soap and lather for 25 seconds, then rinse. Reptiles, just like the family dog can carry diseases that can be passed from animals to humans. Very young children sometimes may have to be reminded not to kiss an animal. Most professional wildlife educators will address these issues with their young audiences before starting their program. The Lizard Wizard always brings along plenty of hand gel (magic soap) and antibacterial hand wipes for your party guests.
